Gulawat Lotus Valley is a serene place for nature admirers. It is located at village Gulawat near tehsil Hatod, district Indore, Madhya Pradesh. If you are looking for places to visit in Indore, then Lotus Valley Indore is a good one to check-in. It was a totally different experience as compared to my visit to Kathotiya Jungle Treck
It is a self-fostered place, situated in the midst of nature, surrounded by Eucalyptus and Bamboo trees. Though no modification is being done to develop this as a tourist spot, the habitat in itself is perfect thereby making it congenial for every category of visitors. Whether one chooses to go with family, friends, or be it a couple outing, this place is befitting for all.
It is quite a big forest, with small ponds in between; water to which comes from Yashwant Sagar Dam. In these ponds, blossoms beautiful Lotus. This adds to the beauty of the place. Though Indore is famous for many things, and there are many things to do in Indore; but if you are a person who cherishes to be surrounded by nature, who loves walking in the tranquility of forest then you must visit Lotus Valley.
The entry to Lotus Valley is unrestrained and completely free of charge. It is a good place for a day’s picnic. If you want to adore nature to its fullest, then plan an early morning trip. At this time, you will find lotus intact, which undoubtedly is, soothing to the eyes. In addition to this, you will have enough time to enjoy and chill; do not forget to bid adieu to this place before it gets dark.
One thing to remember, take enough eateries and drinking substance with you, as no good facilities for such things are available here as of now. Also, you will not find any such good facility nearby. However, you are permitted to cook here. So, you can take raw materials, cook here and enjoy a perfect family meal in the essence of nature.

However, if you want yourself to rejoice in entirety, then the best time to visit is from September to January; this being the inflorescence season of Lotus.
